HENRY BRANNAN

While also teaching a class on art, artists, and gentrification (details here), Brannan served as the school's documentarian for the 3rd session of summer 2018. Rather than capture every single happening, Brannan sought to capture the magical instants that make School of the Alternative the place it is. Their photos have been used by the school for a variety of purposes and can be found on their official Instagram (here) and website (here). 

In the run-up to publishing their untitled zine on the people they had met and photographed over the last 2 years of traveling, Brannan was a featured artist/author for 10x10 Photobooks' (website here) Instagram (here). The post, by guest curator Kurt Beers (find him here), introduces Brannan and their work to the page's following of over 30,000. 

The Yolk Mag describes itself as a "non-hierarchical online exhibition and archive space for young artists". Their Instagram, which features Brannan's photos, along with many other talented individuals', is here.
